• “Yumeshima Kaido” is also easily accessible from Ikuchijima.

NEST offers two rental plans:

• PLAN A: Ikuchijima Enjoy Plan (2PM to 7PM)
• PLAM B: Shimanami Enjoy Plan (Morning to 7PM)

Many rental services along the Shimanami Kaido require bikes to be returned by 5pm.
NEST offers a late return time of 7pm, allowing you to enjoy cycling without worrying about time constraints.

Cancellation Policy

• Please send a cancellation request to NEST Bicycle Rental LINE by 7pm the day before the rental date.
• If we do not receive any communication and 1 hour has passed since your reservation, it will be considered as cancelled.
• For same-day cancellations, 50% of the rental fee will be charged.
• Cancellation due to inclement weather will not incur any cancellation fees.

Damage, Loss, and Vehicle Protection Plan

In the event of damage or loss of the bicycle or optional items during the rental period, the user is responsible for compensation. We will invoice you for any damaged or lost items upon return, as listed below.

• If you choose to handle the repair yourself at a nearby bicycle repair shop, we will not charge you.
• Payment is accepted in cash only.

Vehicle Protection Plan

By subscribing to the Vehicle Protection Plan, you will be partially compensated for some of the above damages.

The Vehicle Protection Plan is designed to reduce your financial burden in case of accidental breakdown, damage, theft, or partial or total loss of the bicycle during your rental period, regardless of intent or negligence. By paying a certain fee in advance, you can reduce the cost of repairs or replacement of the vehicle.

To enjoy cycling with peace of mind, we recommend subscribing to this plan.

• Only the repair cost of the vehicle is guaranteed.
• If you repair the vehicle yourself at a nearby bicycle shop, we will reimburse you upon presentation of a receipt.
• Payment for repair costs requires a receipt, so please keep this in mind.
• This plan covers only the vehicle. Costs for services such as the Shimanami Kaido Rescue Taxi are not included.

【ANSHIN PLAN】

For an additional fee of 500 yen (tax included) per bicycle rental, this plan provides compensation of up to 30,000 yen (tax included) in case of damage or theft.
This plan generally covers the cost of parts damage or replacement.

【SHIKKARI PLAN】

For an additional fee of 1,000 yen (tax included) per bicycle rental, this plan provides compensation of up to 70,000 yen (tax included) in case of damage or theft.
This plan covers expenses for partial or total damage of the bicycle due to accidents or theft.

Liability for Damages Due to Bicycle Accidents

As a rental bicycle operator, Shimayado NEST has insurance to cover the liability for compensation in case users are involved in bicycle accidents.

This insurance covers the legal liability that arises when the person riding the bicycle causes injury to a third party (someone else) or damages another person’s property due to an error in operating the bicycle.

• Compensation for death or injury treatment expenses of the person riding the bicycle is not covered.
• This insurance does not cover damage to the rental bicycle. Please subscribe to the Vehicle Protection Plan for coverage of bicycle breakdowns, damages, or theft.

	Types of Compensation	Payment Limit
Compensation for Damages	We will provide compensation for legal damages that should be paid to a victim who has died or suffered severe disability as a result of an accident involving the use of a bicycle. In the case of bodily injury accidents: medical expenses, treatment costs, compensation for mental anguish, etc. In the case of property damage accidents: repair costs, costs for reacquisition, etc.	100 million yen per accident (per person per accident in the case of personal accidents)
Compensation for victim assistance expenses	Customary expenses for condolence money or purchases of condolences in the event of personal accidents, and temporary expenses required in the event of property accidents	For one victim (or one corporation in the case of a legal entity), condolence expenses are 100,000 yen in the event of death and 20,000 yen in all other cases. Temporary expenses for property damage are 20,000 yen.
Special expenses for accident response	Reimbursement of expenses incurred by the insured for dealing with claims for damages, or when the insured becomes aware of the possibility of such claims and incurs expenses for their handling (e.g., document preparation expenses, transportation expenses, accident site investigation expenses, record expenses, communication expenses, etc.).	The limit is 10 million yen during the insurance period.
